Lunch Program

Sharing a meal together is a sign of friendship and acceptance.  As members of St. Mary’s School family, the students eat their lunch together in the school cafeteria.  Students must obey the teachers in the lunchroom.

A satisfying and healthy hot lunch program is provided for each child.  A government policy concerning free and reduced lunches is explained in a letter to parents each Fall.  Lunches are purchased through the school office.  Parents can put any amount on the student’s lunch account.  No money is collected for lunches during the lunch period.

Students who do not purchase a hot lunch may bring their lunch from home and eat in the lunchroom facilities.  Milk is available to purchase for those not eating hot lunch.  All lunch bags or boxes are to be marked with the child’s name.  If a lunch is brought to school after classes have started, it should be left in the office.

In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, St. Mary School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.  To file a complaint of discrimination, write:  USDA, Director, Office of Civil Right 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, D.C. 20250-9410 or call (800)795-3272 (voice) or (202) 720-6382 (TDD).
